A DAY IN THE LIFE
Our Project Geologist III (Environmental Geologist )| Scientist Remote position is located in Auburn, WA, but can be performed REMOTELY in WA or OR). This role will give me some flexibility in working remotely within a local area.
As a key member of the team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities, including:
Preparing and completing project deliverables.
Scheduling, reviewing field activities, and procurement.
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and preparing cost estimates and proposals.
Planning and procuring all necessary equipment for project execution.
Perform fieldwork, which may include drilling oversight, soil sampling, well installation, groundwater sampling, excavation oversight, operation and maintenance of remediation systems, and vapor intrusion/soil gas surveys.
Perform soil sample logging and collection and preservation of samples (soil/water/vapor) for laboratory analysis.
Process and evaluate field and analytical data, including preparation of tables, charts, and figures.
Assist invendor management and procurement, i.e., labor/material cost estimates.
Conduct project-related research (document and file reviews).
Act as a point of contact for clients
Preparing operational permits and programs to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations and to control compliance costs.
Ensuring environmental compliance of field and lab data about permits and regulatory standards.
Keeping up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.
Practicing safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
Participating in continuous improvement programs and providing support to team efforts.
Performing other duties as assigned.

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or Environmental Science or equivalent science degree from an accredited four-year college or university
3+ years of environmental-related experience, including demonstrated progress in managing projects
Proficient with Microsoft Office software
Mandatory experience in groundwater monitoring, drilling, soil sample collection, and remediation system monitoring (preferred)
Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Solid organization and time/project management skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills must have legible handwriting
Able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities (i.e., self-starter, self-motivated)
English language competency
HAZWOPER certification (Preferred but not required)
Able to travel 2-3 days at a time within WA/OR
